About Me
The little bits you might like to know…
Before we dive into professional details, I have to show you the apple of my eye, my precious granddaughter Sadie.
Here she is, ready for her Spaliday.
Such an angel.
Professional Experience
With an educational background in nursing, psychology, applied art, educating as well as many years in the service industry I went on to become a licensed Massage Therapist in 2004.
My interest in Massage Therapy began many years ago when I worked as a Home Health-Aide for the elderly. To alleviate their pain, I used basic Massage techniques. Touch also reduced their feelings of loneliness, and minimized or diminished their stress levels, and sometimes, instantly.
Realizing that Massage is a unique form of healing that incorporates emotional and spiritual characteristics along with obvious physical restoration, I became fascinated, and went back to school to learn everything I could about this profession.
My many years of continued education in specialized techniques focusing on treating a variety of physical issues as well as psychology and different types of energy modalities has led to my continued success in guiding my clients to a place of RELIEF.
Treating the Neck and shoulders and Treating Sciatica and Iliopsoas Issues are just a few of my Specialties.
Mission Statement
With all of my heart, mind and soul, I am dedicated to healing and sharing my knowledge with every client that I have the honor to work with.
I believe that in reducing and healing physical pain is directly connected to positive emotions and spirit, which must begin with an educated, well-seasoned provider of Massage Therapy. All clients have unique needs and should be treated accordingly.
Personal Background
I’m the seventh sister of 9 children then along came 2 brothers. Born and raised in New Jersey, I grew up near the ocean and had the fortune to explore and experience much of what the shore had to offer. Although growing up in a large family is an adventure and an education all in itself. I raised 3 beautiful children of my own, two sons and one daughter.
In 2012 I was ready for a big change! Through a friend of mine I was able to check out the Western North Carolina Mountains, I had never visited the area before, I immediately knew this is where I was to come for the change I was looking for. The beauty surrounding me between the views and the people has been a true gift!
Feeling grateful everyday!
